Online community

Online community The community I am looking at is Face book. The web address is www.facebook.com. The focus of this group is for social interaction. Wikipedia explains the focus and a bit of history behind how it came to be....'Facebook is a free-access social networking website that is operated and privately owned by Facebook, Inc. Users can join networks organized by city, workplace, school, and region to connect and interact with other people.

People can also add friends and send them messages, and update their personal profiles to notify friends about themselves. The website's name refers to the paper facebooks depicting members of a campus community that some US colleges and preparatory schools give to incoming students, faculty, and staff as a way to get to know other people on campus.Retrieved 5 May, from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Facebook

The site is very interactive allowing members to message friends, live chat, games/ interactive games and you can upload photos to share. People can contribute or much or as little as they like... but be warned it can be very addictive!Facebook has many ethicl issues. You can add peoples photographs to your site without their permission.

There is also the concern of sexual predators, facebook offers an private chat service and their is no identification needed when joining so you could state you are any age, gender etc.

Video production

A story board is a sequence of pictures created by a production illustrator to communicate the desired general visual appearance on camera of a scene or movie. http://www.google.co.nz/url?&q=http://www.teako170.com/glossary5.html

In class we made a video based on the statement ‘overcoming adversity’. Before we started shooting we made a storyboard. It consisted of 10 small drawings which showed who was in each shot, the angle it was shot from, and approximately how close the shot was. It meant we knew what was happening next, although some impromptu acting was included.

We later uploaded this onto You tube. YouTube is a video sharing website on which users can upload and share videos, and view them in MPEG-4 format.
This is our video titled 'Toilet trouble'.
